Bonner-Redd-Surratt-Davis Scholarship Program
The Bonner-Redd-Surratt-Davis Scholarship Program contributes money for college and a job when you graduate. As part of an ongoing effort to promote diversity, The WSPD offers scholarships to students enrolled in historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) who are interested in a career in law enforcement. The program is named after four previous chiefs.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must pass a mini-background check and initial eligibility testing
- Covers tuition, book and fees at public
HBCUs. At private HBCUs the program provides an amount based on the average of public HBCU costs - Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Open to all majors
- Open to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
- Scholarship recipients must complete a summer internship with the WSPD
- Scholarship recipients have a three-year service commitment with the WSPD after graduation

App State Scholarship Program
This program contributes money for college and a career when you graduate.
- Applicants must pass the mini-background check and initial eligibility testing
- Scholarship includes:
- books
- Fees
- Tuition
- Criminal Justice majors only
- Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Open to:
- Sophomores
- Juniors
- Seniors
- Scholarship recipients have a three-year service commitment with WSPD after graduation
- Scholarship recipients must complete a summer internship with WSPD Appalachian
